An American stalwart since 1903, Ford is responsible for some of the country’s most memorable cars. The Model T is possibly the most iconic auto in the world, while the GT40 managed to humiliate Ferrari at Le Mans. It is of little wonder that car lovers eagerly anticipate the company’s new arrivals each year. Here are four models from the class of 2015 to look out for.

Car and Driver describes the Ford Mustang as one of 25 cars worth waiting for and as one of their favorite cars in its class. A quick look at the 2015 Mustang makes it easy to see why. Classic pony car styling and heritage looks complement a V6 engine, a 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder, and an independent rear suspension. The 2015 Mustang comes in either convertible or coupe form and in colors ranging from competition orange to deep impact blue. The price will start at a reasonable $23,600.

Ford F-150: America’s Best-Selling Truck Gets a Revamp

For 37 years, the Ford F-Series has held the crown as America’s best-selling truck. The new F-150 looks like it will hold with tradition. A choice of three engine sizes, including the 2.7-liter EcoBoost, aims to please, while features such as an 8-inch productivity screen (aka command central), a twin panel power moon roof, and a 360-degree camera system will not fail to woo even hard-to-impress truck buyers. The cost of the F-150 is not yet available, but you can reasonably expect a price tag of a little under $40,000.

Ford Edge: A Redesigned Customer Favorite

Ford shifts around 120,000 units of the Edge each year, so some say they are taking a risk by redesigning this customer favorite. The car’s designers, however, are quick to point out that changes such as the introduction of the Ford adaptive steering system and a 180-degree front-mounted camera will not just appeal to the tougher European and Chinese buyers. Ford expects around two-thirds of the models sold to have the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, although if you crave a touch more oomph, look out for the new 2.7-liter V6. Expect a price mark around $29,000.

Ford Fusion: An Ideal Family Car

Looking for a family sedan with a sporty feel to it? The 2015 Ford Fusion might fit the bill. The many features include two engine options – a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and a 2.0-liter version should extra performance be what you are looking for. Automatic crash-notification from Ford Sync 911 Assist makes this car the perfect choice for families where safety is paramount, and raises its potential as a first car for young drivers. The price for the new Ford Fusion starts at $22,400 and rises to $32,600 for the Titanium AWD model.

Whether you are looking for your next family car, something to handle weekend camping trips, or a sportier ride, 2015 is looking like it will be Ford’s year. Which model do you prefer?
